If you read this article, you can pretty much scrap any speed-reading book out there. This is an excellent summary, written in readable English, of what countless books on the subject with regurgitate.

An experienced public speaker will deliver their message at a rate of about 160 words per minute. It is possible to speak more rapidly, but it is recommended that readers of recorded books speak at around this pace because it is comfortable for most listeners.

Students from homes where books are read, including being read aloud to the student, are likely to have a larger speaking vocabulary. They also have arrived at school knowing that information and stories are contained in books and are likely to be excited about learning to read the words for themselves.

I can read 800 wpm, but without comprehension. Me and my friend finished the harry potter books in 3 months at 3rd grade. After I got a phone, I have stopped reading, but i am reading again. I am 12 years old. I can read at most 3-4 books a day.

My son read super-fast between 5 and 9 years old. He read Harry Potter one book in a day and finished 7 books in a week during a school break as a first grader. That was about 400 to 500 wpm. He read 20 to 30 books every week for 4 or 5 years. After he got an iPad/iPhone, his reading time and reading speed dropped dramatically.

This section covers how to read, understand, and use a MARC record. It deals with what librarians using a library automation system will see and need to understand on their computer screens when adding, editing, or examining records. The emphasis will be on those areas commonly used in cataloging for schools and small public libraries, i.e. books and audiovisual materials. However, what is covered in this section applies equally to all forms of materials, including sound recordings, computer software, maps, and other non-book items.

To build on this basic introduction to the topic, additional reading on the subject or courses in online cataloging can be beneficial. Further readings are suggested in the bibliography. MARC may appear difficult at first, but with knowledge and use, it will begin to make sense. As you become more familiar with MARC, the simpler it will become.

I discovered speed reading 10 years ago and now my passion is blogging about new e-learning techniques, software and skills. I'm also keen on photography, traveling, languages and movies. Let's keep in touch!

Perhaps an obvious question, but if we are planning to do the November exam (either L2 or 3), if our Kaplan Schweser and CFAI books say 2021 on the front of them, is that the correct syllabus for the Nov 2021 exam? Or will it have changed already? I bought my books earlier this year planning ahead to Nov

The tendency for the gradients of early hidden layersof some deep neural networks to becomesurprisingly flat (low). Increasingly lower gradients result in increasinglysmaller changes to the weights on nodes in a deep neural network, leading tolittle or no learning. Models suffering from the vanishing gradient problembecome difficult or impossible to train.Long Short-Term Memory cells address this issue. 2ff7e9595c
